Chalk Talk: Choosing a Tutor
There are a lot of options when looking for a tutor. Some schools offer 21st Century after-school programs, which will allow your child to stay after school for a couple of hours for one-on-one help with homework. If your child needs more help than this, your school should be able to inform you of tutors available in your area. You can also conduct an Internet search to find online tutoring for your child. Before you make a choice, make sure that you find out everything you can about your choices and make an informed decision. Read reviews left by others who have used the tutoring service you are considering. Contrast and compare tutoring services so that you can pick the one best suited for your child. Stay involved, whether your child attends an after-school program or you choose a private tutor.
