Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Lindsay District Curriculum
The curriculum in Math describes the skills involved with numeracy, algebra, geometry and data analysis each year. In the Sciences, students are instructed in earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science and technology. In Language Arts, students learn about how to read literary and informational texts, write for a range of purposes, use a writing process, and to listen and speak thoughtfully.
When students take advanced or interdisciplinary courses, the curriculum specifies the additional learning goals for that course or program. Instruction is designed to achieve these goals so that students succeed and assessments are used to ensure students are meeting the standards.
