Los Altos Hills District and Curriculum
The schools in Los Altos Hill use a standards-based curriculum model that is similar to the Common Core Standards framework. The Common Core Standards are used in Language Arts and Math and provide a clear overview of what students will learn in their subjects each year. In Math, student develop problem-solving techniques in the areas of numeracy, algebra, geometry and data analysis each year. In the Sciences, students learn about the facts and principles specific to the topics of earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science and technology.

- Science and Technology Week - Science and Technology Week provides an opportunity for students to showcase their abilities in these academic areas. During the week there are also events that students may compete and collaborate in.
- Writer's Week - To highlight the work of the wordsmith's in the school and the broader community, Writer's Week provides students with an opportunity to think about how the words they use can make a difference and have an impact on their peers.
