Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Madison District Curriculum
The core curriculum of the Madison City School District is made up of Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, Music, Art, Technology, World Languages, and Physical Education. The Madison City School District follows the State Standards of Alabama, and each student is assessed to ensure mastery of the subjects that are completed.
Mathematics is instructed and developed from the ground-up using a syllabus created to bring about a sense of understanding, aptitude, theoretical understanding, and fluency in the subject. The Language Arts program concentrates on developing analytic literacy skills. The additional core classes have a goal of supporting literacy, effective communication, and critical thinking in all subject areas. view all Madison tutors
