Both local school districts develop curricula that adhere to the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards, which provide standards and benchmarks for student learning from preschool through the 12th grade. These standards are in place for the major core subjects. The Common Core Standards provide separate guidelines for curricula in the areas of Math and Language Arts.

Given that we live in an increasingly technological world, students in both local districts will notice a particular emphasis on the 21st Century life and careers subject area.
