Chalk Talk: How to Balance Academics and Activities

It is hard for many children to find the balance between activities and academics. After all, working hard in school and outside of school to improve grades and to compete academically can be time consuming. But, students need activity as well. Try making sure that children only play one sport per season, for example, soccer in the Fall and baseball in the Spring. Also, you can always make sports and activities rewards for good grades. This kind of positive encouragement can only do good!
