Chalk Talk: How to Save Money on College Textbooks
College textbooks are not inexpensive, but there are some ways to save a little on textbooks. Try to pick your classes as early as possible. Once you have signed up for classes, contact the professor to get the list of course materials before they become available at the campus bookstore. Many times you can find the books at an online store, such as Half.com or Amazon.com, for less before the course materials are in demand. Additionally, pairing up with a friend can help mitigate expenses, and of course, the library will have copies of campus texts available.
