Chalk Talk: Easy Tips to Prepare for the SAT

If you have a child that will be taking the SAT this year, there are several easy tips you can suggest to help them get ready for test day and perform at their best. There are many SAT subject tests available in print and online. Taking these practice tests will help orient your child to the manner in which questions are asked and will help them build familiarity with the structure of the exams. If they will be testing in areas like languages or sciences, it’s a good idea for your child to take the test as soon after they’ve finished the corresponding class. Having the subject information fresh in their minds will help them achieve a better score on the exam. Lastly, be sure your child gets a good night’s rest the night before their scheduled exam and eats a good breakfast before they leave. Having the extra energy and brain power will be necessary to perform at their best.
