Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Middleburg Heights District Curriculum

The math curriculum in the Berea City School District includes a detailed study of algebra for high school students. Learners begin working with expressions, including writing expressions in order to solve problems. Polynomials and rational expressions are also studied. Students learn to perform operations with polynomials and gain an understanding of zeros and factors in polynomials.

Students in Middleburg Heights take part in a physical education curriculum that promotes the development of physical health and wellness.   • Area Students Participate in Regional Orchestra - Two student musicians from the Berea City School District recently participated in the regional orchestra at the Ohio Music Educators Association concert. The two young musicians were selected from hundreds of applicants from across the state.
  • Students Win Vocal Awards - Several Berea-Midpark High School vocalists have been selected to join the Ohio All-State Choir. Three singers from the school will join choir members from around the state in the highly-selective choir.
  • Local Gymnast Set to Attend Nationals - Berea City School District student will soon travel to Houston, Texas to compete in a national gymnastics competition. The student, who is in elementary school in the district, is ranked as one of the best gymnasts in the nation in her age group.
