Chalk Talk: Teacher Appreciation

Teachers face many challenges withing their job from the requirements of testing, to classroom management, to grading and feedback - all of which consumes a great deal of their time. Teach Appreciation Week, in April, is a great time to show that special teacher parents, students and the community care. And now, with sites such as Pinterest, there have never before been so many ideas and suggestions to help make the week a success. Although, throughout the year, a simple thank you and some words of appreciation and encouragement also go a long way. Thanking teachers for their hard work benefits everyone in the K-12 school system.
