Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Montclair District Curriculum

The curriculum for English/Language Arts details literacy and corresponding communication skills all of which support analysis, evaluative thought and helps teach students how to interpret new information. Through the topics of numeracy, geometry, data analysis and algebra students develop new and more complex problem-solving skills each year, all which prepare students for more advanced topics.

Technology has also become integral to the curriculum. Student learning is supported through its basic classroom uses and as students move forward in their science and technology learning, the chance to innovate with technology becomes within the ability of all students. The curriculum enhances learning through deepening skills that students can apply to everyday learning challenges.
