Chalk Talk: How to Prioritize Your Time in High School
High school has so many fun and exciting challenges. It also has many more demands than were required of you in elementary or junior high grades. On top of this, there are typically more opportunities than you have ever had before to join clubs or sports, not to mention new social activities as well. Keeping track of everything and making sure you are involved in the right amount of activities and classes so that you can avoid burn out is crucial. Take a look at your after high school goals. Make sure your class choices and club choices line up with these. It is also ok to have a class or activity just because you enjoy it, but make sure that, in general, you’re heading in a good, unified direction as a whole. Finally, in the prioritizing process, make sure you keep enough time for other important things such as good sleep, exercise, and time for family and friends. These things will help you to get the most out of your high school years.
