Chalk Talk: Helping with Difficult Teachers
Occasionally, there can be problems between a teacher and a student. This leaves the parents with a difficult situation. They want the best for their child, but they also want them to learn to get along with everyone. If a child talks to a parent about situations with a teacher that bothers them, the parents need to hear them out. This helps to relieve a little stress. If the situation is still an issue, parents can make an appointment with a guidance counselor. This is someone in the school who would know about other problems that may have arisen with this educator. A meeting can also be arranged directly with the teacher by the parents to discuss the difficulties. If it is comfortable for the teen, they can attend the meeting with the counselor and the teacher.
