Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Newton District Curriculum
An action plan enables students, teachers and parents to monitor the student's daily progress. The student and teacher are responsible for designing the plan. Once the plan is designed the student is accountable and must achieve a particular set of milestones that lead the student to a successful goal. The plan may also include a recommendation for parent involvement such as reading time at home or homework for skill reinforcement. Students, teachers and parents can specifically identify the student's strength and weakness with this Action Plan and work to improve the weak areas.
