Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Norristown District Curriculum

As is required of all Pennsylvania schools according to the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Norristown Area School District pushes their students to succeed in all required subject areas as well as providing opportunities for gifted students as well as help in areas of special education. The learning objectives that are set forth in the curriculum are adaptable to any learning style so all students have the opportunity to achieve the expectations.

To assist in obtaining their goal to make every student college ready, Norristown has an impressive technology base including computers, programs (including such as AutoCAD for students to learn on), and smart board white boards for learning aids. Students are encouraged to use a variety of multimedia technologies on their projects.
