Chalk Talk: Tips for Choosing the Right College Major for You

There are often financial considerations – while you may want to be a doctor, you may not be able to afford the cost of attending medical school. There are also practical and family considerations: you might not have good enough grades to be admitted to some programs or your family might need you to stay close to home for medical or economic reasons. Aside from this, choosing a college major involves a healthy dose of introspection. What do you enjoy doing? What is your passion? And can that be translated into a college major? While it’s important to be passionate about what you decide to study, it’s also important to test the waters.
