Standards are established by the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards and the Common Core Standards, which provide rigorous learning objectives.

All Oakland students receive sound instruction on the use of technology. As part of the comprehensive technology curriculum, students begin by learning basic computer functionalities, such as how to use the keyboard, mouse and how to type. From there, students learn how to utilize computer software to complete assignments, be they text based or multimedia projects.
