Chalk Talk: The Importance of Completing a Task
Many times children will want to try a new hobby or extracurricular activity only participate a few times and quit. Common reasons they say they don't like it or it is too hard. Well letting them quit sets them on a path to continue quitting when things don't go their way. Needless to say this is a bad habit to form. Instead of letting them quit make them finish. Tell them that they have to finish what they have started but, that they do not have to do it again if they truly do not like it. This forces them to follow through with what they are doing and can be beneficial in many facets of their life.
