Chalk Talk: How Can I Help My Child Choose a Pathway?
When students are in high school, and starting sometimes as early as seventh grade, they will be introduced to the academic pathways that are available. Many of these pathways specialize and prepare students for specific career opportunities. Other pathways prepare students for a more general liberal arts college education or post-secondary opportunities in international learning. Students have the chance to focus on highly technical areas of learning, or can take as wide a range of courses as they want. When it comes time to plan for college, the background chosen will help the student recognize their interests.
