Rochester District and Curriculum

Rochester Public Schools focus on student achievement, even for those with special needs. Because of their rigorous and caring academic programs, their student achievement levels are often above national averages. Reading is very important in Rochester, and the teachers take care to encourage their students to not only read more, but to read above their level and to analyze and understand the content of the reading materials. Cognitive thinking is improved with this methodology.

We currently cover the following Rochester-area school district: Rochester Public Schools.

Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Rochester District Curriculum

In addition to a focus on reading, Rochester Public Schools must also have their students take the MCA standardized tests, which is an area where many students could use some extra help. We are happy to offer that extra help and to assist students in understanding what might be on the test and how they can succeed academically.

Rochester Public School System’s motto is “Lifelong Learning for All.” With this in mind, we can help your child to succeed not only in
school, but we can follow the school system’s motto and inspire learning long after high school or even college. We are familiar with the
weekly study sessions that the school holds and encourage our students to attend those sessions in conjunction with our outside curriculum,
making them as successful as possible in life.

Chalk Talk: Teaching Children the Importance of Reading

Literacy is an ever-growing and important skill to have and Rochester Public Schools focus on it, as do many other school districts in the country. Find teachers who not only read, but love to read, and can pass that love for reading on to their students. Work with children on figuring out what the stories mean, why the themes are important. Teach children to use new words every day to strengthen and grow their vocabularies.
