Whether schools should or should not have uniforms has been an ongoing debate for long. Educators and politicians believe that uniforms are cure-alls; if students look more orderly, schools will be more organized. Some believe that reduces a major distraction and source of social stigmatization for students, allowing them to focus better on classwork. Whatever the schools' policy, the best thing for a parent to do is to support their child's effort to be an individual while also adhering to their school's guidelines.
