Educating Our Parents: Understanding the South Salt Lake City District Curriculum
The Math curriculum integrates the study of different types of mathematics into the entire educational experience, such that the preparatory work for advanced study of algebra, geometry, statistics, and calculus is done over time from kindergarten on. Students are taught basic arithmetic in elementary schools, alongside the core principles of geometry and statistical analysis (such as graphing and charts). By sixth grade, they begin to work with variables, equations, and proofs. High school students take specific classes in algebra, geometry, and other branches of mathematics.
All elementary schools in the district include technology in their programs, giving students access to computers, iPads, and other tools to support their education. At the junior high and high school level, technology is integrated into the curriculum throughout all subjects, with students having the ability to learn about and use technology both in specific classes and throughout traditional classes.

SchoolTutoring Academy Increased My SAT Score By 200 Points
My son’s math marks in high school have always been weak so I found it very beneficial that his ACT tutor worked on solidifying his fundamentals while prepping for the ACT.
SchoolTutoring Academy gave my daughter the confidence she needed to boost her SAT score Thank you!
SchoolTutoring has played an important role in improving our son’s confidence and attitude towards school. His grades have also improved steadily throughout the school year.
My daughter was able to improve her test scores after a few months of tutoring with SchoolTutoring. However, while raising test scores is great, the real payoff is in the self-confidence that she gained.
I just wanted to send a quick note to say thank-you! My son is very impressed with his tutor and looks forward to each session. What’s particularly amazing about this is our son has never really looked forward to math or school for that matter!
We are so happy with the results of your tutoring program and academic support. Homework time was such a stressful evening for the entire evening before we brought your tutors into our home. Thank you for all your help!
Our daughter, a first grader, struggled with basic reading and handwriting. When she began with SchoolTutoring she was almost a year behind her class. Within a year of being enrolled, she is reading above her grade level and has the confidence to match.

Chalk Talk: What Is the Value of Internships?
More schools provide the opportunity for students to do internships or community service with outside organizations as a part of their high school career. While these programs to take up students’ time, they are an excellent way for students to learn about how their classroom skills transfer into the workplace. The skills learned in the science lab, the technology classroom, the English exam, and other areas can be put into practice in an internship. Students can also learn whether they have a long-term interest in pursuing a career goal, or whether they are more interested in another field. Finding time for an internship or a career-relevant summer job or service activity is a great way to build your resume for college applications and find out about your skills and preferences for your long-term goals.
