SchoolTutoring Academy has played an important role in improving our son’s confidence and attitude towards school. His grades have also improved steadily throughout the school year.
My daughter was very self-conscious about her difficulties with the math section of the SAT. SchoolTutoring Academy’s Academic Directors created an action plan that boosted my daughter’s score and confidence level.
SchoolTutoring Academy has not only improved my son’s standardized test scores but also his high school math and English grades. Test Prep Academy has not only improved my son’s standardized test scores but also his high school math and English grades.
SchoolTutoring Academy Increased My SAT Score By 200 Points
My son’s math marks in high school have always been weak so I found it very beneficial that his ACT tutor worked on solidifying his fundamentals while prepping for the ACT.
SchoolTutoring Academy gave my daughter the confidence she needed to boost her SAT score Thank you!
SchoolTutoring has played an important role in improving our son’s confidence and attitude towards school. His grades have also improved steadily throughout the school year.
My daughter was able to improve her test scores after a few months of tutoring with SchoolTutoring. However, while raising test scores is great, the real payoff is in the self-confidence that she gained.
I just wanted to send a quick note to say thank-you! My son is very impressed with his tutor and looks forward to each session. What’s particularly amazing about this is our son has never really looked forward to math or school for that matter!
We are so happy with the results of your tutoring program and academic support. Homework time was such a stressful evening for the entire evening before we brought your tutors into our home. Thank you for all your help!
Our daughter, a first grader, struggled with basic reading and handwriting. When she began with SchoolTutoring she was almost a year behind her class. Within a year of being enrolled, she is reading above her grade level and has the confidence to match.
Keeping Informed: Recent Southampton Educational News
- William E. Norris Names Principal - Last year, Southampton's William E. Norris Elementary selected Aliza Pluta from three finalists as the school's new principal. Ms. Pluta, who previously served as an elementary school teacher, vice principal, and principal, was chosen due to her energy and honesty, her knowledge of curriculum and instruction, her sense of urgency, and her understanding of the importance of reaching out to parents and the community.
- Hampshire Regional Eighth Graders Close Out History with Noodles - Eighth grade world history teacher Scott Green decided to end the school year by having his students participate in the Japanese tradition of "flowing noodles." Mr. Green, whose wife is Japanese, gave his students little instruction in building a 55-foot bamboo chute down which they sent 45 pounds of cooked rice noodles. The students had to pick up the noodles with chopsticks as they came down the chute; although many of the noodles ended up on the ground, the student-built structure remained upright.
- A State Softball Championship and a Puppy - The Hampshire Regional High softball team took home the Division II state championship title in 2015. Not only was the pitcher who led the Red Raiders to the title a champ, she would also be getting a pet dog she would like to name Champ. Before the season began, the pitcher made a bet with her dad that if she led her team to a state title, she would get a puppy. Welcome home Champ!
Chalk Talk: The Importance of Physical Education
The physical education curriculum helps students develop an understanding of various fitness, wellness, and health topics. Students focus on acquiring the motor skills and aptitude for movement patterns that are necessary to participate in common physical activities. They participate in various lifetime activities that promote overall health and fitness. Students play games and participate in sports in order to enhance these skills. Learners also gain an appreciation for the role that physical activity plays in one’s overall level of fitness. The dangers of inactivity are explored as well, with students learning about obesity, diabetes, and other ailments that result from not getting enough exercise. Students examine ways they can stay active, whether participating in individual activities like running, or playing games like softball or tennis with their peers.
