Teachers are often kept up-to-date on the most recent research-based methods of instruction and assessment. This is to ensure that the utmost qualities in these areas are being given to the students. Instructional techniques that are reliable and valid give the teacher's peace of mind in knowing they are delivering the best lessons possible to the scholars, and the assessments they give will show the progress of their learning. Teachers depend on assessments to drive their instruction by letting them know exactly what they need to reteach, and it also aids in the development of their small groups for focused instruction.
