Struthers District and Curriculum

Struthers’ financial literacy curriculum includes various components, including studies of business practices and entrepreneurship. The entrepreneurship strand highlights the importance of innovation in business to the overall economy. Children identify the characteristics of a successful entrepreneur, and explore the various means by which small business owners develop business plans and put those plans into place. The advantages and disadvantages of becoming an entrepreneur are also discussed, with students analyzing the risk vs. reward that each new business owner must consider.
