Chalk Talk: Why Teachers Use Different Instructional Approaches

Teachers have a number of options when they teach a lesson about how they will go about instructing students in the topic. The range of approaches are well-suited to different subjects and topics, and so teachers are able to pull from their toolkit and design an approach that will take into consideration learning styles and intended teaching outcomes. Different approaches can be more or less effective for individual students, which is a balance that must be found for individual students as well as whole classes.
