Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Tracy District Curriculum

The curriculum for Language Arts organizes its foundational skills around reading various text formats and writing in expository, persuasive and creative formats. Another emphasis is listening and speaking with with critical thought and an open mind. In Math, the learning centers on teaching strategies for solving problems starting with basics in geometry, measurement and probability and on to more complex data analysis, algebraic and geometric operations.

As students make the decision to pursue pathways that focus on specialized, career-oriented subjects, the curriculum will describe the ways in which these subjects are integrated into and expand upon core learning and the expectations for student learning in their courses.
