The reading, writing, and communicating curriculum prepares students to interact with others, share ideas, and analyze verbal and nonverbal communications.
The Trinidad music curriculum exposes children to instrumental and vocal music from various time periods. Students learn about blues, jazz, classical music, rock, and many other genres. Children learn about the features of music and its ability to convey emotion. Chalk Talk: The Importance of Math
Math may not be every child’s favorite subject, but its relevance to everyday life makes it crucial for children to study and master. Aside from the day-to-day uses of math – determining a tip, calculating a monthly budget, and managing time – math offers more far-reaching benefits. Children who are good at math will themselves have children who are good at math. Families that make a point to perform even basic skills like addition and subtraction help their children perform better in math at school. Math can also help maintain a healthy lifestyle by counting calories or determining portions. Having the ability to calculate the true cost of a major purchase allows people to make a more informed decision before any money is exchanged. These skills are basic, yet very important for children to gain.
