Chalk Talk: College Admissions Preparation

At some point in their high school career, students who wish to attend University after graduation will be faced with what many call a daunting task: preparing your college admissions applications. But doing so doesn’t need to be such a hassle. With some organization and basic knowledge of how the process works, you can ensure that the process flows smoothly. First, start early. This is essential to allowing yourself enough time to research all relevant information, including tuition costs, admission acceptance rates, campus life, and all other factors that require research. Keep a chart where you can write down the different schools’ basic information for easy consultation later on. Next, as you begin the process of filling out the application, have certain documents on hand, including your high school report cards and any information relevant to the form that you might wish to consult. As you work through your applications, keep a list of schools you’ve already applied to, and schools you still want to apply to.
