Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Victoriaville District Curriculum

The schools of Victoriaville follow the curriculum developed by the Department of Education. The curriculum is a framework for subject area learning and specifies what it is that students should be capable of doing and knowing within their subjects. These standards of learning cover both specific skills and conceptual knowledge.

All types of education in the region use curriculum that is specific to its needs while also providing attainable goals and learning objectives. Students who participate in religious education, intercultural education, adult education and a range of specialties use a similar curriculum framework that pinpoints standards while also encompassing learning areas appropriate to the program.
