The Ontario Curriculum is used to provide students with traditional academic competencies while also offering learning opportunities to prepare them for next generation pursuits and goals stemming from individual talents. The core subjects of Math, Science, English, History, and International Languages are emphasized so that students have a well-rounded base of knowledge and ability from which to build their success. The frameworks for each subject provide teachers with an organized way to build skills and a certainty that students will come into their next grade being proficient in certain core fundamentals.

They also work with colleges and universities so that students are arriving at college prepared and able to smoothly transition to college academics.
