Chalk Talk: What Healthy Snack Should You Pack?
In elementary school, with the day very long for young learners and lunch often at odd times to accommodate a large population, snack time is essential for active bodies to re-energize. What should you pack? Something healthy that includes protein, will give your child the best energy for a good day. Sliced carrots, apples or celery are a few ideas. Crackers are good, as long as they aren't full of sugar. Make sure it is something you child likes and will eat. And, don't forget the water, nature's best drink.
