Chalk Talk: IB Middle Years Programme
Both Central and Sunrise Park Middle Schools were accepted as International Baccalaureate Candidate Schools. The Middle Years Programme focuses on intellectual challenge, and encourages students to make connections between their core subjects and the real world. The Middle Years Programme accommodates most national or local curriculum and fosters the acquirement of skills for communication, collaboration, innovative thinking, intercultural knowledge and global interaction. Each International Baccalaureate World School is mandated to take part in an ongoing process of review and development, aligned to the programme standards and practices. After completing the MYP programme, students are prepared for the challenges and criteria of the IB Diploma Programme and IB Career-related Certificate.
