EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
As their teacher, it is my job to figure out what their higher level is and determine how to help them achieve that. Children are our future and it is my responsibility to make teaching fun, as well as prepare them for their future.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I graduate from Schoolcraft community college with an Associates in Liberal Arts. I then graduated with Distinction from the University of Michigan with my Elementary Education certification. I continued my education through Marygrove College, where I earned my Masters in Teaching, specializing in Elementary Literacy and Reading.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I was a math and reading intervention teacher part time from grades 1-5 for a year. After, I became a first grade teacher for 5 years. Currently, I am a middle school math teacher.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
While I was a first grade teacher, I taught ACE, an after-school program focusing on Math and Language Arts. I was also part of the literacy, wellness, PTA, and safety committees.
