The purpose of education, in my eyes, is to lead students to discover their own power. I provide students with a lot of encouragement and motivation in the classroom, which I balance with a healthy amount of feedback and direction. Ultimately, my approach to teaching is flexible, adjusting to the needs of the student, yet based in dialogue and exchange: students need a voice in their own education to become self-sufficient and successful.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCF with a BA in English. I recently completed an MA in English from Florida Atlantic University, where I maintained a 4.0 GPA.

I have taught freshmen composition at a university, and I have experience teaching ESL abroad, as well (in Costa Rica).

In my spare time, I dabble in freelance journalism and play in a surf rock band called Dr. Martino.

I received a score of 29 on my ACT test.
