I believe that education is important for every individual. I have a passion for the academic environment as individuals are constantly learning. Furthermore, I understand that there a multiple learning types and styles which is important to recognize to maximize learning outcomes. All in all, education is a foundation for life and it is important for all.
My educational background includes attending a full French elementary and high school. Once I entered post-secondary schooling, my focus was in Psychology and French. I have gained an abundance of educational experience and will continue to do so with the aspirations to student a Autism and Behaviour course in the near future. As of now, I am taking a PSW (personal support worker) course for a better understanding of care for others.
I have had several teaching experiences, which include Sunday School teaching for 2 years. I have also worked as a senior program worker for the YMCA and a camp counsellor where I would plan and teach different types of programs (healthy eating, life skills, bible lessons, and much more).
I enjoy working with people of all ages. Thus, I enjoy volunteering in multiple environments such as the Alzheimer’s Society, United Way, Church actives, and so forth. With different types of environments, I am able to learn and adapt to different teachings and skills. I have gained knowledge on how different institutions function.
