EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that teachers are more effective in the classroom when they have passion for what they teach as well as the drive to effectively teach the material to their students. Using various teaching strategies and methods, all teachers have the ability to appeal to various learning abilities that will be present in their classroom.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I attended Harrisburg Area Community College for two years and received an Associate’s Degree in Social Science. From there I went to Lebanon Valley College for two years and received a bachelor’s degree in History. At both colleges I received honors for good grades. I then attended Western Governor’s University and got a teaching certificate for grades 6 through 12 in the subject of Social Studies.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
My teaching experience consists of my student teaching experience and my substitute teaching experience. I would like to think of my student teaching experience as more useful than the average experience because I was shouldered with many classes, and all were an advanced level.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
One of my hobbies is Civil War reenacting. The Civil War itself is one of my main areas of expertise and reenacting gives me joy.
