EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
As a person who loves learning new concepts and is open to new ideas, I am a strong believer in education. I believe, with the right attention given and some creativity, anyone is capable of learning. I also believe in rewarding accomplishments when it comes to education. There are times when we may feel intimidated by a specific topic but once we really dive in, and succeed, we should reward ourselves with a celebratory moment to say “I knew that I can do it”. This will also push us to go further and accomplish more in life.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Associate of Science in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University in 2008. I am also pursuing my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science at Arizona State University where I have also completed a semester in Early Childhood Education. I have studied cultural diversities and math for elementary teachers.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have experience tutoring family and friends on various math topics. In my family, I’m the go to person when they need assistance with any math problems that they may have. I also have experience tutoring for college prep math.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Ever since I was a child, I loved to read and, in my adult years, that desire has not left. I also have a huge interest in technology and computer programming. I love the process it takes in bringing an idea to life. I am an animal lover and own 5 cats and one guinea pig. One of my future goals is to have my very own mini farm.
