Lessons need to have real-world applications so that students can identify how their “homework” has real-world value. Homework assignments should be relevant to everyday life and develop problem-solving capabilities.
My Bachelor of Education was completed at Nipissing University where I took additional courses in International Teaching and the Education of Native Canadians. In 2003, I graduated with a Bachelor of Humanities from the College of Humanities at Carleton University.
For three years I lived in South Korea where I taught ESL elementary, secondary, and adult classes. I also created after-school programming and taught cross-curricular English immersion camps.
