Every student can succeed. Teaching is about connecting and inspiring students to make the most of their learning opportunities. Students have to be given the tools to become independent learners, although learning such skills takes time, patience, and dedication from both the teacher and student.
My education is an ongoing process. I was always an advanced learner because I have the tools to succeed. I have a bachelor’s degree in Sociology specializing in Family Studies. I also have recently earned my Masters in Education, specializing in Instructional Leadership. I also plan to pursue a doctoral degree in the near future.
I have been able to work with struggling students to help them gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the classroom. In addition, while in my Masters program, I worked at a local school as a third grade teacher.
I have been volunteering with our local little league baseball team for the past three years. Children need all the positive support they can get from adults that care and want the most for them.
