Without math, all functions in today’s life will cease to exist. Every person, regardless of age, has the ability to work with multiple levels of math, but may need a teacher or tutor to help them achieve their confidence in computing math.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics with an emphasis on Education from California State University.
In college, I worked with professors to lead classes, became a guest speaker for college level classes, and entered competitions to show others how to complete problems. I worked in a tutoring lab at the college for math. I worked in a learning center, both one-on-one with students and in a class-type setting for students K-12. In addition, I have worked in the Juvenile Detention setting, learning how to relate to youth with preconceived notions of failure.
I have two young children that I am actively involved with, including their educational development. I enjoy walks with my two dogs throughout the town and into the mountains for hikes.
