Teachers are mentors meant to guide and foster student learning. Teachers need to build trust with the student so that the student is willing to learn. It is important for the teacher to ask questions in order to be sure the student understands what they are learning.

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Toledo and a Master’s Degree in Library Media and Information Technology. I also hold teaching certificates in Pre-K, K-3, 1-8 and K-12 Library Media.

I student taught in Kindergarten and First grade and I have been a High School Library Media Specialist for the last 9 years. I also co-teach with teachers of all curricula throughout the year, guiding students through research and learning.

I am the yearbook teacher and I am the Junior Class/Prom Adviser. We have a mentor program at our school that I am actively involved in and I tutor students during their study hall. I also run a successful business.
