All students can learn when given the correct tools to be successful. I believe that a student’s success is not merely dependent on parents, students or the teacher. It is a collaborative effort that shared amongst them all.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Mathematics that I acquired in 2010. I also hold a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Instructional Design. I obtained both degrees from Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, TX. I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas.
I have taught Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus , Math Models and Applications on the high school level. I have also facilitated classes in Biology, Integrated Physics and Chemistry, Chemistry and Physics on the high school. My other teaching assignments have included 5th grade math( departmentalized) as well as self contained (all subjects). My current assignment is 6th Grade mathematics.
I am the Mathematics Academic team coach. This is my second year with a Universal Interscholastic League team. Last year, I was the coach for Calculator Applications, in which my team members placed in the top 10 of the competition event.
