I believe that my job as a teacher is to enable my students by teaching them in a way that matches individual learning styles, ensures that students are mastering the material and promotes independent thought.

I have degrees in English from the University of Lancaster in the U.K. and a Special Education degree from Athens State University in Alabama where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I have also completed management classes at Hudddersfield University in the U.K. I attended schools in England, Sierra Leone and here in the U.S.A.

I have taught Special Education in grades 1-12 in Alabama and Tennessee. I have nine years experience teaching in public schools.

I have coached soccer and been active with a Junior Civitans group. I am also very interested in literature, and other media I have written for local 00 newspapers in the U.K., worked in hospital radio and produced videos in the UK and in the USA for nonprofit groups.
