I like to utilize a variety of activities to reach different kinds of learners: combine direct instruction, games, and art. There is some information that needs to be imparted teacher to student, however, students also need to participate in their own education by creating art or playing games.
I attended West Virginia Wesleyan College and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre (minor in English). I attended Cleveland State University in a post-baccalaureate program to obtain my teaching license. To earn my Master’s Degree in Education while teaching full time, I attended Capella University and graduated with a 4.0 GPA.
I have taught middle and high school Language Arts and English, Title I High School English, and Kindgergarten.
I read daily and also like playing games and cards with my family, and spending time with my son. I also work crossword puzzles and Mensa puzzles to keep my mind sharp.
