I believe every classroom presents its own unique community of learners, with a variety of abilities and learning styles. We need to be compassionate, understanding, share mutual respect, and find ways to make connections with the material to help each student actively engage.

I received my Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University, with a major in Mathematics and minors in History and Music.

I have successfully taught mathematics for over 21 years. The courses included Algebra 2, Geometry, Algebra 1, Pre-Algebra, Math 8, and Math 7. During that time I have occasionally taught additional courses, including Multimedia, Computers, and U.S. History.

Outside of the classroom, I was the yearbook advisor, coached JV softball, and coached volleyball.
