I believe in making education a memorable and fun experience for students. It is important to make connections from the lesson content to the students’ real lives. Instilling a natural love for learning in students is important, and is what help creates life long learners, and active problem solvers.

I am a certified teacher from the state of Louisiana in grades 1-5. I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education. I attended this university from Fall 2003, to December 2008.

I have experience teaching grades 1-4. Most of my experience comes from teaching 3rd grade. I have taught 2nd grade for one year, 4th grade for half a year, and 1st grade for half a year also.

My extracurricular activities comes from my involvement in Tri Sigma, which is my sorority. I served as President of this organization in 2007, and held other office positions before that. Being in this organization allows me to participate in intramural sports, and philanthropic activities that include children.
