EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Slow and methodical step-by-step explanations are what most people need to learn math and physics. Many teachers skip steps or assume students understand each step, so they don’t explain them. I make sure students understand every step, and will start from the most basic fundamentals to ensure their understanding.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I took advanced AP Calculus, labeled as BC Calculus in high school, as well as AP Statistics, earning a 5 and a 4 on the AP tests, respectively. Math and Physics has always been my strong suit, therefore I decided to major in Mechanical Engineering at University of California – Santa Barbara, in which I earned my Bachelor’s Degree during four years. I am now in the process of completing my Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am an Eagle Scout of the Boy Scouts of America, starting as a Cub Scout since Elementary school. Also I have played Baseball for a total of 8 years and Tennis during my Senior year of High School. I still actively play both sports during my leisure time, and have participated in many various intramural sports during college.
STANDARDIZED TEST RESULTS
I received a score of 740 out of a possible 800 on the Math portion of my SAT exam.
