I see my responsibility as an educator to engage students in learning in such a way that they celebrate what they learn and enter into it reflectively so that they are always wanting more. This challenge makes me desire to get to know each student individually so that I can look for natural ways to engage them in the subject area. Connecting new knowledge to previous background experience has great potential for success.
