EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that each student is unique and learns in their own way. I support independent learning and, as an educator, support and guide students to learn in the way that works best for them. As an educator is it my goal to help students reach their fullest potential by guiding and supporting them in a safe environment. I strongly encourage questions and seeking answers to those questions by providing access to the appropriate information.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I obtained my Bachelor of Science from University of Manitoba and am a registered technologist in cytotechnology. I have also completed 22 credits in business and management and obtained my Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Northeastern University.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have experience tutoring and mentoring students in a one-on-one environment.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I have volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society as a camp counselor for children with cancer. I also have volunteered with the American Society of Clinical Pathology, MOMs Club, and PMI. I enjoy spending time with my 10-year-old daughter. She is very creative and we spend time painting and creating craft projects.
