I believe that every student is unique and should be treated that way. Every child learns differently and should be taught in a way that plays to their strengths. I believe in using a student’s interests to help them excel in school work.
I completed the Concurrent Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Education program offered in partnership through Trent and Queen’s University. I currently have a Bachelor of Arts in History and Anthropology as well as a Bachelor of Education Degree.
I completed six different education practicums over the course of my university career. I have worked with a wide range of ages. I have also had the opportunity to create education summer programs as well as recreational programs for children.
I volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters for two years as an in-school mentor. I worked with the Pen-pal program offered at my university. I work as a canoe and kayak instructor during the summers.
